Displaying SNMP Trap-History Records

The Data ONTAP 10.0 system keeps a list of event notifications that have been sent to SNMP traps. You can view this list by using the event snmphistory show command. The command displays the following information:

Other information is displayed in a detailed view and if other parameters are specified. See the reference page for the command for details.

The following example displays the list of event notifications that have been sent to SNMP traps.

node::> event snmphistory show
Seq # Message Name Address Node Time
12     raid.mirror.bigio.restrict  10.98.12.1  node0a    4/14/2005 15:11:04

Deleting an SNMP Trap-History Record

You can delete SNMP trap-history records by using the event snmphistory delete command. You can delete a single record by specifying its sequence number, or multiple records by specifying a pattern. The following example deletes the SNMP trap-history record with the sequence number 10.

node::> event snmphistory delete -seqnum 10
